If there’s one thing you have learned about healthy weight loss is that anything abrupt does not work. You have played the game good the first week and played badly two weeks after that. You dont even update tumblr anymore. Dont use college as an excuse. Put your heart into this. Win your A’s and win your body.
Tomorrow, I will start slow. Portion control. I will make my stomach so it will not allow a whole box of pizza inside of it or a BigMac or one large fries. Portion control.
Slowly but surely. I will weigh myself tomorrow, for Tomorrow, we start again.
Is your heart into this, B?
Love, motivation and support, Old, fat B
For all intents and purposes, I hope to spike up your motivation through this post. Lately, you have been feeling down because of inevitable realities like seeing your ex flaunt his new girlfriend in social networking sites. Hurtful as it may have been to see those pictures, wall posts, comments, you are hurt right now because you let your guard down. If you had not been stalking ex’s account, you wouldn’t have seen what you saw and you wouldn’t be in a hiatus right now.
‘No one can hurt you without your consent’ is a quote you have read many times in your lifetime and you firmly believe this. Now, you are hurt because you let yourself get hurt. Knowing your ex’s password does not mean you can log on to his account. No, doing that makes you a psychotic stalker, a bitter ex and a worst individual.
And what up, you are not this person. You were a beautiful person before you entered that 5-year relationship. They used to call you “Smiley” because the sun seems to always be shining right behind, at and for you. You were called “Ms. Congeniality”, “Ms. Friendly” and all those wondeful words. Do not let a break-up eclipse your shine. Do not lose the person you really are and replace it with the grumpy, unhappy, discontented and unsocializing person that you are now. This is not the ‘B’ that you know. Let’s go, missy.
You have fallen into a habit which is not healthy. When you get lonely, you have the urge to fill yourself up with junk, making you feel more hopeless, more unworthy. And today, that is what you did. You ate and ate, spam after chocolate after hotdogs and popcorn and nachos. You really let yourself go today. And its horrible. You have to get out of this cycle or it will own you. Do not let it own you, B. You are better than this.
And remember:
“This is ten percent luck, twenty percent skill
Fifteen percent concentrated power of will
Five percent pleasure, fifty percent pain
And a hundred percent reason to remember the name.”
- Fort Minor, Remember the Name
All love, motivation, support,
OLD FAT B
What really started this weight gain was back in 2009, I got my heart broken for the first time. Before this unfortunate event, I was at 115 healthy pounds.
Depression took its toll on me. Stress-eating, food was the comfort. I started gaining pound after pound. I cried almost every night knowing I was losing my self and the control over my life.
The beach high school reunion I will be going to on October is the wake up call for me. My high school friends would never recognize me at this weight. I was athletic back then, I ran 50-meter sprints, played sports. I was in a band.
Now, I am this.
158.5 pounds of sadness, 74 kilos of unmoving mass.
Brighter days are up ahead. I will fall in love again but not until I love myself.
